French authorities on Tuesday seized the financial assets of two Iranian individuals as well as those belonging to Iran’s intelligence services, in retaliation for a foiled bomb plot in June. Earlier in the day, France’s elite police also raided a Muslim center with links to Hamas and Hezbollah, and made several arrests. Both events come after the Interior Minister Gerard Collomb saw his resignation turned down by President Emmanuel Macron.
Dr Mitchell Belfer, President of the Euro-Gulf Information Centre (EGIC) comments the implications for Franco-Iranian relations. The analysis by Dr Belfer is available from 0’28” to 1’12” and from 3’04” to 3’45”.
